MOI Foods Tally to ERP Invoice Integration with Credit and Debit Note Tracking
MOI Foods needed business data to be pushed from Tally to its ERP, including invoices and the related credit and debit notes. Tally Experts implemented an API integration covering sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes and debit notes. The project also included an additional tracking feature for credit and debit notes.
This case study follows that specific Tally-to-ERP workflow. It explains which records were included, why the direction of transfer mattered, and how the note tracking feature formed part of the solution.

Connecting Tally records with the ERP
MOI Foods is a producer and distributor of agricultural commodities and food ingredients. The client operates in the import-export business across multiple countries. This project was for MOI Foods in the Ivory Coast.
Its requirement concerned the connection between business information held in Tally and the records that needed to reach its ERP. These systems had different roles in the requested workflow. Tally held the relevant business data; the ERP was the destination for the specified invoices, credit notes and debit notes.
For MOI Foods, Tally to ERP invoice integration meant connecting those roles. The business needed a way to push relevant information from Tally to its ERP while continuing to use both systems. The requirement was therefore about moving data between existing systems, with Tally serving as the source of the specified records.
The records that needed to reach the ERP
The integration scope included four document types:
- Sales invoices
- Purchase invoices
- Credit notes
- Debit notes
Sales and purchase invoices were central to the requested transfer. MOI Foods needed these Tally records to reach its ERP environment so the corresponding information could be available there.
Credit notes and debit notes were also included. This is an important distinction for anyone reviewing a similar requirement: a connection described simply as an invoice integration may leave questions about the other documents the business uses. In this project, the scope explicitly included both note types alongside sales and purchase invoices.
The requirement was to push the relevant records from Tally to the ERP. The case therefore centres on Tally as the data source, the ERP as the destination and the four specified document types. This is the flow to compare when assessing whether the project resembles your own business requirement.
The integration implemented by Tally Experts
Tally Experts implemented Tally API integration to enable the relevant data to be pushed from Tally to the ERP. The connection covered the four document categories identified in the requirement.
The purpose was practical. Business data already held in Tally needed to become available in MOI Foods’ ERP, across the sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes and debit notes included in the scope. The integration provided the route for that transfer.
This project illustrates a defined use of our Tally API integration services: connecting records held in Tally with the information a business needs in its ERP. The scope starts with the client’s documents and data transfer requirement rather than a general promise to connect every part of an ERP.
Additional tracking for credit and debit notes
Alongside the data transfer, Tally Experts provided an additional tracking feature for credit notes and debit notes. This gave those documents a specific place in the solution beyond their inclusion in the integration scope.
For readers considering a similar project, the useful question is whether their requirement ends when a note reaches the ERP or also includes tracking that note. MOI Foods required both capabilities. The integration included credit and debit notes, and the project included a separate tracking feature for them.
For a similar requirement, describe which notes your team needs to track and what information it needs to see. That gives the tracking requirement a clear purpose alongside the transfer.
What the solution enabled
MOI Foods had a route for pushing the specified records from Tally to the ERP in the required direction. Sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes and debit notes were included, with additional tracking for the two note types.
The practical benefit was the connection between the source of the business data and its destination in the ERP. The project enabled that transfer instead of leaving it as an unresolved requirement between two separate systems.
Questions about this project
Which Tally records were included
The integration included sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes and debit notes. These document types formed the specified Tally-to-ERP transfer, with additional tracking provided for credit and debit notes.
Was credit and debit note tracking included
Yes. Tally Experts provided an additional tracking feature for both credit notes and debit notes alongside their inclusion in the data integration.
